Welcome to our website! The availability of modern herbal supplements make using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) much more convenient, and for bitter herbs, more pleasant!

Popularity of TCM supplements is increasing due to :
1) the desire not to be a victim of modern diseases and to live a long healthy life,
2) evidence from modern studies that substantiates and enhances our knowledge, and
3) availability of herbal nutritional products.

For each of our supplements, the history and traditional uses are firstly summarized. We always keep in mind that the traditional uses were based on thousands of years of human trials with careful observation and thought. It is an exciting time for TCM because of modern evidence that using herbs can be as effective, and with less side effects, as compared to purified drugs. Herbs are increasingly being used along with western-style drugs.

The active ingredients are then described, along with substantiation of their effects based on current studies. Published references from reputable sources are provided. In some cases, there are so many references that links to websites with reference lists are provided instead.

Recommended uses are listed in order of the amount of substantiation available for them. We firmly believe that claims should be substantiated, and that herbs have “best uses” to fit each person’s goals. Recommended dosages are provided.

Chi Jia™

Chi Jia™ is our cherished trademark and is used on all of our health supplements and related products. Whereas it literally means “together family”, it has much more meaning culturally.

The term was used by our family ancestor, Chu XX, during the Sung Dynasty (XX - XX B.C.) in his popular teachings of Confucianism. He taught that there was four duties for each person to take care of, as follows:

No. 1 your own body and spirit
No. 2 all of your family (Chi jia)
No. 3 the government
No. 4 all things under the heavens

Thus, “Chi jia” means to be aware of the needs of your family members and to take care of all of them (including yourself) as much as you can, in order to promote a harmonious and very “together” family. The term has been used with such meaning since this early time.

The purpose of our health supplements and related products is to promote human health. The Chi Jia™ on the label symbolizes this, which is a main part of our company’s philosophy.
